Mary Mikesell was a native Daytonian who shared her father's love of music and respect for the city in which they built a successful family business, the Mikesell's' Potato Chip Company.
In fond memory of her parents and their influence in her life, Mary established the Daniel W. and Martha J. Mikesell Fund in 1986, for the benefit and preservation of the Dayton Boys Choir. Mary's generosity has provided us not only with a sustaining fund, administered through the Dayton Foundation, Inc., but she was always a willing listener and a source of continued support.
Mary Mikesell loved music. She sang in her high school's choral group and in her father's church choir., where he served as choirmaster most of his life. Mary Mikesell passed away in August of 2002. The Dayton Boys Choir is grateful for the continuing generous support made possible through the fund established in 1986.
