David A. Coffey — Director

Mr. David A. Coffey holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Wright State University and currently teaches choir, grades 6-12, at Waynesville Middle School and High School. Some of his duties at the high school also include teaching classes in music history and music theory.

During the spring David also serves as music director for the high school musical. David's face is not new to the Dayton Boys Choir, as he served as assistant director from 2001-2003 under the direction of both Dr. James Tipps and Mr. Daniel Greene.

During that time, David toured with the choir both to Niagara Falls and Washington DC. He believes that the time he spent with the Dayton Boys Choir really helped prepare him for his teaching career and the role he now serves. He is greatly humbled to follow in the footsteps of those he has learned so much from.

He is very excited to get his first year underway and begin recruiting boys and continuing to build community pride in the Dayton Boys Choir.
